Chapter meet-ups and clinics suspended in response to COVID-19

As the spread of COVID-19 continues to evolve and progress, the Arizona Women’s Climbing Coalition believes it is in the best interest of the organization and the community to suspend all chapter meet-ups and clinics for the remainder of March. During this time, the AZWCC will closely monitor protocols released by the Center for Disease Control and local health organizations until meet-ups can safely continue.

AZWCC prides itself not only as a leader of climbing safety, but as a leader in physical and mental health safety as well. To decrease the spread of COVID-19, many organizations have taken similar protocol, including the temporary closures of schools, faith-based community events, and large scale events.

We, too, hope that the temporary suspension of meet ups will decrease the potential of exposure to at risk individuals in our own communities. We will continue to monitor the containment of this global pandemic over the next two weeks and will announce how we choose to proceed at the end of the month.

Your feedback is important to us. If you have questions, comments, or concerns, our email is always open to communication.

The Arizona Women’s Climbing Coalition apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause, and we look forward to joining organizations worldwide as we fight to keep this community safe, healthy, and climbing for a lifetime.
